The cheapest service for customers with free calls to landline phone numbers
Call Checker recommends the Account and Mobile Phone Apps. They may have a slightly higher pence per minute rate, but they normally have no additional charges what so ever. And because these services use a local UK access number, which comes out of your free minutes, to access the international call service these service normally work out to be cheaper.
The cheapest service for customers with pay as you go phone packages
Pay As you Go Mobile Phones - Call Checker recommends pay as you go mobile phone users use the 6 or 7 digit mobile short-codes for the cheapest international calls. The advertised pence per minute rate may be slightly higher than other services but, mobile short-codes have no additional charges what so ever, making it the cheapest way to make international calls from a Pay As You Go mobile phone.
Landline Phones without free calls to local UK phone numbers – Call Checker recommends the Access Numbers starting 08 or 09. Your landline phone provider will charge you a one off connection fee of between 9 and 14p per call, but with such low pence per minute rates this is still the best service for cheap international calls from the landline which doesn’t have free calls.

- Enter your destination number including the international code
- Save to your phonebook

- Enter the access number
- Insert a pause (shown as a 'p') by pressing the trackball and selecting 'insert pause'
