Q: I've been charged the full international cost for the call; how did this happen?
A: Does the full international phone number show on your telephone bill? If it does show this means that, when making your call, you haven't dialled the access number before dialing your international destination. Please remember to always use the access number to maximise your savings on international calls.
Alternately, you may have pressed the call or send button after the international number. If you press the call or send button after the international phone number, the first call to the access number will be placed on hold and a new call direct to the international phone number from your phone will be made. Remember, after dialing the international number press nothing and your call will automatically be connected.

A: When calling some of the more remote countries you may encounter a slight delay, this is normally due to the local telecommunications infrastructure in the country you are calling.

Q: Do I pay any extra charges for using your landline access numbers?
A: You will not be changed anything extra by cheapestinternationalcalls.com or our suppliers. The advertised rates on this site include VAT at 20%. Rates shown are what you would pay if you were a BT Residential, Sky and Plus Net customer as of March 2012. Click here to see the charges on BT’s website. All service providers charge a connection fee for call 08 and 09 access numbers. These range from 3p to 15p depending on the service provider.

A: You can use our access numbers with every service provider but the costs do vary. The below rates are correct as of March 2012. The 'Connection Change' is a one off change on all calls.

Q: What is a SMS Top Up?
A:These services allow you to make very cheap international calls from your mobile with no need to set up an account. The service operates on a pre-pay basis and calls are made using the available credit. To get credit you need to text a KEYWORD to a Short-Code.

A:Simply text the desired KEYWORD to the Short-Code for £5 or £10 credit. The text message will be charged to you by your mobile provider and for this we send your access number and pin number with credit.

A:Simply dial any one of the access number included in the confirmation text message, listen to the message, if dialling from a different phone from that which you topped-up from, then use the PIN included in the welcome text, enter the full international number - do not press send / call again. You will then be automatically connected.
go upQ: What if I have sent a text requesting a top-up, but have not received a confirmation message back?
A:Generally a confirmation message is sent instantaneously. However very occasionally, for example at peak times, the mobile networks maybe congested which means that the confirmation message maybe delayed. Do not resend the message as you will be charged twice.

A:There are no administration or subscription fees. There is however a surcharge of one pence per minute from any mobile or landline and a 10p per minute surcharge from a payphone for using a 0800 access number.
